Reviews are a critical part of the LocalExperts ecosystem. They help customers make informed hiring decisions and help businesses build their reputation. We are committed to maintaining an honest, balanced review platform where every voice is heard fairly.

Who Can Leave a Review

Reviews should only be written by individuals who have had a genuine service experience with the listed business. We do not allow reviews from competitors, employees of the business being reviewed (unless disclosing that relationship), or individuals who were offered compensation in exchange for a review.

Review Guidelines

• Be honest and specific about your experience
• Focus on the service received, timeliness, professionalism, and quality of work
• Avoid profanity, hate speech, or personally identifiable information about individuals
• Do not include promotional links or spam content
• Separate reviews should be left for separate service engagements

Prohibited Content

• False or misleading statements
• Content that is discriminatory, threatening, or harassing
• Reviews written as part of a paid scheme or competitor sabotage
• Personal information such as home addresses, financial details, or identification numbers
• Content unrelated to the service provided by the business

Moderation Process

All reviews are subject to automated and manual moderation. Reviews flagged for potential violations will be reviewed by our team within 2-3 business days. During this period, the review may be temporarily hidden from public view.

Business Responses

Business owners who have claimed their listing may respond publicly to reviews. Responses must remain professional and constructive. We encourage businesses to address concerns directly with the reviewer and use responses as an opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction.

Dispute Resolution

If a business believes a review violates our guidelines, they may flag it for review through their dashboard. Our moderation team will investigate and take appropriate action, which may include removing the review, requesting edits, or upholding the review as-is. Both parties will be notified of the outcome.

Review Removal

We will remove reviews that clearly violate our guidelines. We will not remove a review simply because it contains negative feedback, provided it is honest and based on a real experience. Ratings and star scores reflect the aggregate of all genuine reviews.
